Paul Holland, the CorpseOn paper, this looked pretty good. The director was supposed to be a good one, there were a number of up and coming co-stars. Dan Ackroyd was going to play the bad guy biker and several people AP has worked with before were involved.

Black comedy is usually something I enjoy. Large bowl of popcorn and a cold beer and I'm happily snickering along. Unfortunately, the film's timing is off and somebody lost the script, somewhere.

AP is good. The exasperated ex-husband, happily active with his ex-wife's hairdresser (Laura Lynn Boyle) has a sex scene that is certainly giggle material. Then the story goes off the rails. "Paul" is set up for a hit. The two guys Susan has pushed into it manage to miss all the vital organs and decide, over a long involved lunch scene to go ahead and get the hairdresser's other boyfriend, Ackroyd, to go to the hospital to finish the job.

You have Susan's new boyfriend, the boyfriend's ex-wife and her parents, the hairdresser, her two idiot buddies and the biker, all running around the hospital. Dream sequences confuse the issue even further and by the time the film's final credits ran, I'd given up on the beer and was heading for the scotch (not the good stuff, either.)

Watch AP and see if you can sit through the rest of it, but not a John Landis film to be particularly recommended.
