| Zin, in an elaborate plot to get Cole/Daggon out of his way, has hired the model Cole used to create his form to shoot a scene for a film. At least that's what "Troy Montana" thinks he's doing. The real plan is to kill one of Zin's people for failing to complete the task he was assigned and blame the murder on Cole. After the shooting, Troy is whisked out of town and Cole is arrested. To make sure of his conviction, Zin is paying the Public Defender to blow the case and has the alien who did the actual shooting on the jury.. Mel is desperate and remembers that one of her regulars at the Watchfire was considered one of the best legal minds in the city. Jonas is really not willing to take the case until Mel manages to prove to him that Cole and Troy are not the same person. Mel fires the PD and Jonas is on the case. Troy's back from his European gig and Cole manages to trade places with him in order to get the evidence Jonas will need. He's able to get a copy of the garage surveillance tape and proves that it has been doctored. The only problem is the additional alien, the woman who actually did commit the murder, is still on the jury. Montana is funny. AP's skill as an actor makes the contrast between Cole and Troy delightful. |
