| Cole finds out the one of the aliens in in the body of a mental patient who has been recaptured and is now in custody. He believes that the patient has information about the triangular piece of metal that Mel found in her grandmother's things. The writing on it is ancient Vardian and Cole wants to see if he can get the alien to translate it. He decides to create a patient profile indicating that he is an escaped patient. He arrives at the hospital and makes friends with several of the patients. His quarry is heavily sedated and he decides to tamper with the medication in hopes that he can reach the other man. Mel visits him, claiming to be his sister and he gives her the information he's been able to come up with. There's some gentle interaction with the other patients and a nurse (playws by Queen Latifa) who genuinely cares for her patients. Unfortunately for Cole, the Vardian manages to turn the tables on him, injecting him with a drug that removes his normal censors and he's telling the hospital administrator/doctor enough that they want to administer shock treatments. He manages to get loose, his new friends help him get away and Mel is outside waiting for him. He tells her he wants to go home. Quietly, she asks him where home is. He responds that it's anywhere she is. If there was anyone who wasn't touched... well, I was, anyway. |
