Jess and two of her friends are having drinks in a new "rave" type club and Jess becomes aware that people all over it are using pens of some kind to drop a new drug into their eyes.

When she describes what happened, Cole recognizes a drug made and used by the Enixian criminals and Mel goes with him to find the club-which has moved on.

Meanwhile, Cole is becoming more proficient in English and learning more about Earth all the time. Some of the "Fish out of water" moments are priceless. We see Mel explaining that he can't just take the VCD out of the bank machine. Cole's borrowing her microwave and cobbling together every ragtag piece of electronic gear in the building to create the equipment he needs to find and collect the fugitives are delightful.

Mel's growing attraction to him is easy to understand.
