Jess gets hurt throwing her new boyfriend out of the bar for coming in with another woman and Cole takes her to the hospital followed shortly by Mel. Cole spots one patient who seems to be suffering from a poison she could only get from one of the fugitives.

They have to find him and Cole demonstrates additional ways that he can get information from a facecloth.

Mel risks herself to connect with the alien and proves she's no fainting flower. After a fierce battle, they are able to capture Tev. Reacting to her close call, Mel comes into Cole's arms but he really isn't sure what to do.
