Meet the Felonius Felines

This set of pages is a salute to our Fur Folk, past and present.

First, the current residents of the household...

Mikey is All Grown Up!

Mikey On the Autumnal Equinox, 2003, a little black fuzzy critter arrived and managed to bring a lot of giggles with him. Some cats are born dignified. Mitzie (the Countess) never forgot that she was the Imperial One in the house. Sharra never remembered to give her the proper respect. Duncan has wonderfully silly moments and Angel likes to play, up to a point, but Mikey never seems to tire. He sneaks up on toes, kills shower curtains and makes sure empty water bottles never get a chance to trip me up.

Mikey, all grown up!He was found in the basement of a building undergoing renovation. His tail was broken in two places and he was in convulsions. Our friend Mary had him on her shoulder, under her long red hair when she came in. Curious l'il bugger that he is, he peeked out, and I was had.

We have a wonderful library, but I've learned to note what page I'm on because bookmarks are likely to be found under the table, the bed or in the bathtub. Happy birthday Michael Benjamin Andrew Sylvester P. Puss. We're happy you're here!

They work so hard...The computer hutch has been a favorite snoozing spot for many of our felines. Sharra even had a cushion. When I bought a new monitor, we had to raise the hutch 4 inches so Angel and Mikey could continue their slothful ways in comfort. They do have SUCH a rough life.

The only reason Duncan isn't up there is because he's not comfortable climbing up there. He's 16 pounds and a bit too big to share it with the kids. Of course he has his own favorite spot on the loveseat.

Mikey going after Duncan's tail
Duncan came to live with us in May, 1999. Sharra was 24 then and Jane was about the same age. Sharra took him in hand immediately and explained about litterboxes and sleeping arangements. She left us in August of that year. More of her story is here

Now, in 2008, Duncan is the senior of our three boys. We think he was about a year to 18 months old, and was found living behind a fast food resturant. This pic was taken shortly after Mikey arrived. He found Duncan's tail irrisistable. As a grown up, he still does.

Angel, being AngelicAngel is still a little shy. He stays very close to Duncan during the day. He's finally learning to play with his brothers and it tickles me to watch him with the catnip socks.

In our house un-mated socks get filled with catnip and become cat toys. Mikey and Angel have claws and can pick them up out of the toy box. Then Duncan steals them and nests on them. Cats certainly have their own agendas but it's fun to watch.
