This Night we tell the tales known of old of how the Lady brought this wondrous world into being
For know you in that time before the planets danced and the Moon lit our nights there was silence and a nothingness that we even now do not understand
And an Awareness grew against the stillness
And it began to move to spin slowly with a growing knowledge of direction and surroundings
We do not know how long the Awareness moved around Herself but as the rhythms pleased Her She caused the ether around her to vibrate and sound came into being
First a low hum then a soaring song began. The motion and song gathered around the Awareness
And where the Awareness danced sparks of energy grew and They came together and She saw Herself reflected in them and laughed with joy
The image in the energies became a mirror, grew and began to dance and as it spun it grew and changed from a reflection to an Opposite and the dance went on for an aeon
And She loved Her Reflection and sang the changes on so that They might take pleasure in each other
Out of that delight She sang again and all the myriad universes were born
So it was. And so now our children are born of our love which reflects Her love and we cherish them as She cherishes us
And we remember Her dancing and Her loving. When we love, we are her and her love is our love and shall be so now and always.
